Update

Since I haven't been posting very regularly I thought I'd give just a general update of what's been going on in our lives these last few months.

That's one of Jon's newest motorized toys. He bought it back in April I believe. He has always wanted a motorcycle and this one was a really good deal so we decided he could get it. I was ok with the idea, but every time he rides it I say a prayer for safety and then anxiously wait for him to return. I don't think he plans to keep it too long - he just wanted to have the experience of owning and riding a motorcycle :). I'd like to get a ride or two on it before he sells it too. He's got to get his license first though. The motorcycle has actually come in handy lately since the transmission in Jon's car went bad a few weeks ago. Sometimes Jon will ride his motorcycle to work (on days I really need my car) the rest of the days he just takes my car to work. Needless to say I've been spending A LOT of time at home since Jon's car turned unusable.

Jon's still working at Sheffield Furniture - it's been 5 months now since he started there. It's work, but he enjoys it and is much more comfortable now with what he's doing. He finished re-doing the first of a number of websites he's responsible for. Click the link below the picture to go to the website he created and see what he's been up to. I think it's really great! He's in the middle of re-doing another website right now at work.

As for me, I've been enjoying my time at home a lot. I've been trying out all kinds of new recipes and finding ones we really like. I've been doing little projects all around the house that I've wanted to do for a while. This spring I planted a garden too so that's been occupying a good chunk of my time. I'll have pictures of it soon.

Well, that's all I can think of right now. Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Two Years Later!

Yesterday was our second anniversary! Sometimes it seems like it was just yesterday that we got married - other times I think of all we've done and been through together in these last two years and it seems like forever! Either way I never regret saying yes when Jon asked me to marry him! :) I grow more in love with him every day. I cherish his love and care for me and it never gets old.

Two weeks ago, yesterday, we found out we were expecting our first baby. We were so excited (especially me, but Jon was excited too)! Then, just one week later, I had an early miscarriage. Though that was very possibly the hardest thing I've ever gone through, we are trusting God that He has a plan in all of this and that He will bless us with another baby very soon. Jon has been a wonderful source of encouragement and strength for me through the tough times and I'm so thankful for him!

Anyway, yesterday for our anniversary we kept things pretty simple. We both had chiropractor appointments soon after Jon got home from work so we went there. After that we spent the rest of the night together, just enjoying each others company. We drove in and around the parking lot of the church where we got married and reminised the memories that flooded our minds. Then we went down to Plymouth Meeting mall and walked around shopping for a while until our reservation at PF Chang's right next door. PF Chang's is one of our favorite restarunts, they have delicious Asian-Fusion food and we like to eat their occationally. After dinner we came home for the night. It was nice just relaxing together and talking a lot. Our nights are usually rush, rush, rush and always filled with something or other, so it was really nice to celebrate by taking it easy.

Happy Birthday Dear Jon, Happy Birthday to You!

For any that don't already know, Jon's 22nd birthday was last Friday, May 30th! Jon took off work for his birthday so we could have a long weekend down in Ocean City with his family. We headed down Thursday night when Jon got home from work and the first thing we did, as soon as we got there, was hop in the car with Jon's parents to go to the Budakan restaurant in Atlantic City. That's where Jon picked to go for his birthday dinner.

Friday - Jon's actual birthday - his cousins Stephen & Matt and their friend Wayne, flew in from Oklahoma and we picked them up from the airport. After dinner that night we celebrated with ice cream cake and desserts.

We stayed in Ocean City till Sunday this past weekend. The weekend before that we started off by going to Wildwood Friday night to stay with my parents and Kelsey & Alayna - who had been vacationing there for a week. Then Saturday we all drove to Ocean City to stay with Jon's family who was just getting there that day. My parents stayed till Sunday night with us, and Jon and I stayed till Monday night. Needless to say, we've been doing a lot of driving back and forth down to the shore and back the last few weekends. But we're home for a while now.

Last night we celebrated Jon's birthday with my family at my parents house. I made Jon a second birthday cake and my mom made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Yummy!

Sadly for Jon, I think now all his birthday celebrations are over :(. Oh well, next year will be here before we know it.

...

OH MY WORD! I'm soo embarassed to finially get back on here. April & May have come and gone and I haven't posted a single thing! It has been busy but not so busy that I don't have time to blog if I'd just sit down and do it! I've just been putting it off because I know I need to write and post pictures from our cruise and that will take a while. So, I'm just skipping that and maybe I'll get back to it, or maybe I won't - who knows. But I can't just keep going on and not posting anything :).

So anyway, I'll be back again!
